Ripe on the age of retirement, Ryōmen found the world interesting, a place he had desired to stay in, the stitched mastermind, Kenjaku, had then taught Sukuna a skill on mummifying his corpse, giving it the ability to transfer upon a new vessel of whoever consumed it, his essence residing within each finger of the twenty he mummified and scattered before his main body passed, going out upon his own terms.
Modern Era, 2000s - Now, Japan.
Kenjaku still resides within someone's body, however, seals he placed on Sukuna's fingers after his passing remain, vows he made with numerous bloodlines involving the transferral of the potential to be a vessel in exchange for constant incline in the reserves of cursed energy for the future, this all leads to the modern day sorcerer being on par with anything the ancient Heian Era has ever seen, all for Sukunas return. The aforementioned seals have torn, releasing the energy of Sukuna's fingers whilst Kenjaku's efforts and a battle with an ancient master Tengen resulted in Tengens defeat being forced upon enabling the barriers of Japan to have anyone withins latent sorcerer abilities heighten further, and for those who lack decent amounts of cursed energy to contain it, the world itself is constantly fueled by Jujutsu Sorcery, things such as Jujutsu Tech being close enough to actual highschools. However, as a result of an additional vow Ryōmen Sukuna himself made, each of his mind itself was split into the fingers, with the intent of producing numerous Sukuna's for him to scar the nation with his influence, intent on even surpassing himself to become number 1.
