Welcome to The Elder Scrolls: Interregnum, a literate/semi-literate Roleplay server based on the roleplaying game series The Elder Scrolls. This server finds its setting within Tamriel's chaotic second era following the disintegration of the Reman Empire and mostly traces the older lore (pre-Oblivion) in many ways while still drawing some elements from the later games of Oblivion, Skyrim and ESO. For those who aren't deep into lore, this server still has a place for you, as all of the lore is easily presented in the appropriate channels for you to get quickly up to speed and make your character.

In the waning years of the Second Era, over two-hundred years after the assassination of Akaviri-Potentate Savirien Chorak, Tamriel finds itself crushed by the weight of sin, with many believing the judgment of The Eight to be the culmination of the failures of mortal-kind after Reman Cyrodiil III's murder.
With the Interregnum still gripping Cyrodiil, the newest Imperial Colovian Dynasty now witnesses a new emperor crowned. Yet the wizard-counts of Nibenay contest their claims and wage open rebellion, the selfsame conflict that claimed the life of previous Empress-Regent Iniana Dragma and her firstborn. Thus, the erudite and misliked Logunn Dragma takes the throne, resuming his mother's ambitions of quashing the rebellion.
Beyond the heartlands, war rages in the west between Skyrim, Hammerfell and High-Rock and piracy dominates the abecean. In the south, a great miasma of Red Death spreads, destabilising the provinces and provoking violent Altmeri isolationism. In the east, a mysterious regicide has supposedly claimed the life of Morrowind's High-King.
Everywhere corruption blooms with furious speed. Dynasties shall burn as new ones rise to usurp their crowns and the bloody turn shall find its conclusion within the annals of The Elder Scrolls...
