Organized crime was once surrounded and suffocated by the United States of America's indisputable enforcement of law. It was believed that, by the year 1920, the golden age of mafia had died in the United States, and by 1990 it had died everywhere.

However, beginning in the year 1992, the rate of crime discreetly increased alongside the rise of the economy, as was usual. When the charts reached a peak and began lowering to a trough, however, crime did not.

A man by the name of Lucien Genovese, a descendant of the famed Genovese family, one of the five mafias that were famous in New York City, began to conduct organizations in a way America had not seen before. And by the year 2000, Genovese had proudly communicated that, "Perhaps the reason American law could not help but prevent American mafia is because they have not truly seen it the Italian way."
