Camp Jupiter has existed for thousands of years and faced various difficulties and struggles but has always come out of it victorious. Until, a few years ago 3 praetors gained power and overthrew the democratic voting system, making themselves the reigning forces.
Their reign began peacefully as they tried to make the power change as smooth as possible but soon it became clear what their real intentions were, which were their own gain of power and wealth. They reigned in tyranny for over a year before the campers were able to organise a functioning resistance able to fight back. At that point, the praetors had gained too much power and support for the resistance to overthrow them with the assets they had, which they had to realize in a brutal fight.
After almost being completely diminished the remaining revolutionists fled to rebuild their resistance.
The two bravest fighters who both sacrificed all their power to stop the tyranny were devastated and at their ends, completely drained of powers.
This is when the gods intervened and chose them as their champions, granting them new, unseen powers. With this new hope, the resistance marched for the final battle to end the tyranny.
In the end, they were victorious and freed camp from the imposterous and power-hungry praetors.
For their acts, they got voted the next praetors and with the help of the whole camp, they rebuilt Camp Jupiter to its since lost glory.
