New Lumina, a city built free and independent from all other countries and their laws, being it's very own city and state with it's own laws and culture. New Lumina is located in Antarctica, being an enormous structure divided by floors, with the one on the center housing a small star, that produces heat and radiates a large amount of light, giving the city a unique glow. The first Lumina, the city's precursor, was located on the sea, however it did not float for very long. The population in New Lumina, just as the population of the rest of the world, is filled with people who were born with various abilities, with everyone having their own special and unique power. However these abilities are not very powerful, their potential being beyond the reach of mankind, or so it was thought until a massive breakthrough was made, which would prove that belief wrong. A new drug was invented, MCCP-03, made to enhance the ability of a human, making them significantly more powerful than before. Though regardless of how big of a step this was for humanity, the creators of the drug were members of a gang, Vagabond, which would use it to control the city and it's people by dominating the narcotics market, it was irresistible, after all who wouldn't want to gain such power. The technology in New Lumina is quite developed along with most other countries of the world, though while it is the 24th century, most newer inventions still have a lot of room for improvement, especially robots and some limited cyberware. Besides these, there is also development of androids and gynoids, though regardless they just like other newer inventions still require improvement.
