Adventures in Avalore
The final bastion of civilization in a world that has all but fallen to chaos. Since time immemorial this Middleworld has been the center of the cosmos, and as such it has been an eternal battlefield for those who stand on opposite spokes of the Great Wheel. The eternal struggle between good and evil, law and chaos, have raged on and on with little to no regard for the lives of us native to this place.
Ninety-nine years ago the remnants of the mortal races gathered in the center of their scattered territories and decided to put forward a unified front against the forces that have long threatened to destroy or dominate Middleworld. They named this unified front Avalore.
Monstrous threats loom at every corner in this epic level campaign setting, creating an air of impending doom and a need for heroes.
Avalore is a play-by-post, living world style (similar to westmarch) server running on 5th edition DnD. Take quests with a party or travel solo as you explore a dynamic and detailed world map.
What you can expect:
- Leveling up is fast and rp-based..
- Regular in and out-of-character events give everyone a chance to earn magic items, boons, and special roles.
- Your character's backstory matters, as well as the consequences of their decisions. Even low-level players have the capacity to initiate world-changing events.
- Regular game and movie nights, earn passive XP by hanging out in VC.
Restrictions
- The server uses the 12 core classes from the Player’s Handbook. Some subclasses and races are not permitted for lore reasons.
- This server does NOT use Avrae, but instead opts for Google Sheets and DNDBeyond for character sheets in addition to on server bots such as Dice Maiden and Arcane.
