Eastern Story is a Touhou/crossover roleplay server that places a large emphasis on the freedom of the roleplayer, without compromising the server's integrity and the stability of the rp. You can rp here without knowing a single thing about Touhou unless you rp a canon Touhou character. If you're curious though, a basic description of the world and its lore is provided.
A fair warning, however: do not expect this server to be anything like other rp servers you've been in. We are aware that our way of doing things is quite unique, and it isn't for everyone. For example, "requesting rp" is not a thing here, yet everyone shows courtesy in their unpredictable interactions. The world is meant to be believable and self-sustaining without ooc input. Do not bring other systems of operation here. We cherish our unique ways.
Sidenote: We do not tolerate the gatekeeping, toxicity, and elitism that has spread throughout the rp community. This includes the usage of derogatory terms that are commonplace, such as how rpers use the word "literacy" incorrectly or equate long (or short) rp to good rp. If we feel you are impolite and disrespectful, we will not hesitate to remove you from the server. This does not mean we lack consideration, or that we will ban people left and right. After all, we're here to have fun.
Eastern Story offers:
- A freedom of character choice, with limits. Don't expect overpowered characters to be accepted.
- Freedom of writing style, without limitation. We stay out of your creative process as much as reasonably possible. This means no length or "literacy" requirements, no requesting rp, no "scenes," just pure and complete freedom as long as no rules are broken.
- Frequent incidents and optional lore, almost always being planned!
- A tight-knit community, always willing to accept new members! A rarity in the rp community, to be sure.
