Jack hadn't thought much of what Dave had told him about his less-reasonable side splitting off and leaving him in two, especially considering he thought that such a thing required a soul. But the day that he left The Flipside and felt a clearness in his mind would make him wish that he had.
Two much less reasonable sides of Jack separated from him one fateful day, and the alliance they made upon encountering each other would hold heavy consequence, creating a path paved with bloodlust and gluttony.
