In the year 2025, Naoya jumped from your everyday, local Japanese university to the premiere university in the world. Since it was founded, NU has produced business tycoons, diplomats, high-ranking court officials, technocrats in both the public and private sectors, acclaimed medical professionals, educators, theater and media luminaries, and many others in various fields of expertise. It is now 2030, and NU remains at the top.

Naoya University is located in the Shizuoka prefecture, near Mount Fuji. It is currently housed in nine buildings, one for each of the seven institutes plus a sports complex and faculty building. There are two areas, the city and town, which are separated by the Sano River and connected via a bridge. There is also a residential area in the town where the dormitories and gated neighborhoods are located. The apartment complexes, on the other hand, are scattered throughout the city. The city also has a somewhat well-hidden red-light district where bars and clubs abound. It is closed and looks almost abandoned during the day, but during the night it comes alive with the neon street signs reminiscent of those in Shinjuku. This is the college student go-to for the nightlife and parties.
