The year is 2010, twelve years since the Second Wizarding War took the world by storm. The lengths to which Voldemort took things shook the magical community and allowed fear to take root and spread like wildfire.
Following the aftershocks of the war, the International Confederation of Wizards closed all magical schools around the world to discuss security threats. This caused the International Statute of Underage Magic to go into effect. When a young witch or wizard begins to manifest their powers, the auferetur charm is placed on them. The charm is kept in place while they attend Magical Congress-mandated education. Then, when their education is completed and they reach the age of 18, it is removed so they can gain a proper magical education.
Now that Ilvermorny is again opening its doors to first years as a university, hope is on the horizon. But will it last? There are whispers of a group known as Salem's Chosen rising in the shadows and threatening to shatter peace in the Wizarding World.
