Tau-14 is a semi-serious Arma 3 group that is welcoming and beginner friendly. We lean towards the relaxed side of things, and don't want to overwhelm the average player.
Tau-14 is a company-strength force consisting of four squad sized elements of special operations infantry forces, an armored detachment, aviation detachment, a reconnaissance element, plus additional combat specialist and support personnel. Tau-14 operates in both anomalous and standard operations.
During these operations with anomalous content Tau-14 operates under the SCP Foundation, but not wearing any gear showcasing their alliance with the Foundation. This was directly requested by Foundation officials for plausible deniability. During standard operations, Tau-14 operates under the Blackwater PMC as a detached company.
Majority of senior officers within Tau-14 previously operated under Nu-7 "Hammer Down" as a battalion strength force. After several members of their squad were marked KIA after Operation: [DATA LOST] the remaining soldiers were moved to standby while a new unit was under construction. These senior officers would aid in kickstarting this new Mobile Task Force Unit. After working with Blackwater PMC, soldiers were donated and a derivation of the Blackwater PMC was created Mobile Task Force Unit Tau-14, designated "Blackwater Serpents." They would go on to secure and contain anomalies, terminate anomalies, bag high-value targets, infiltrate enemy lines, operate as private security details, and perform frontline invasions.
