Welcome to Briarwood Academy for Exceptional Youth, year two!
Two generations ago, corruption, greed, and war threatened to rip the continent of Traidrios apart at its very seams. The conflict was brutal, and there seemed to be little hope of peace. A treaty was reached, long sought and hard won, and along with a delicate armistice, a school was founded.
This school would serve to train the children of the powerful and wealthy, as well as students with extraordinary minds and the rare few with magical potential. Power, wealth, brains, and magic. The prevailing theory was that if those four categories of exceptional youth were educated properly, they’d be able to take the reins of leadership in Traidrios and guide the continent into a golden age of peace and abundance.
Briarwood Academy opened its doors to its first wave of students 64 year ago. Since that time, its graduates have gone on to become kings, presidents, generals, acclaimed scientists and inventors, legendary artists, and mages.
The world around Briarwood is large and diverse. The countries represented in its roster can range from the most modern democracy to feudal style absolute monarchies. User submitted kingdoms ARE allowed, with plenty of room for creative freedom!
