NEW SERVER!!!
I've been in a lot of fantasy rp servers, but none of them have managed to scratch a certain lore itch in my brain. Having a server without a big story has its perks, but it's not for me. So, me and a friend created lore for our own server. AviAvi Island - A 15+, semi-lit to novella, sfw rp server that takes place on a giant island floating above the ocean, with a diverse ecosystem and rich history spanning for thousands of years. It takes inspiration from media like The Legend of Zelda, Elden Ring, and Deepwoken. It's too much to talk about here, so you should join to see it for yourself. "We have lore" definitely won't be enough to convince you, though, so it's a good thing we have more than just that:
GOOD WRITING
This is the part I stress so much. Only having one sentence per post gives nothing to work off of, and it can make roleplays bland and boring. We require at least a paragraph per post (with exceptions) to make sure that every rp is fun to read and write in.
A SIMPLE STAT SYSTEM
Stats have become sort of a norm for me. It's a lot easier to figure out powers and figure out what you can do if you have a system that scales everything for you. It also allows a lot of character growth; no starting off strong immediately, you get to earn it. It's a lot more satisfying this way.
MANY UNIQUE RACES TO CHOOSE FROM (with more on the way)
I've noticed a lot of servers have races that are purely aesthetic, and it threw me off. There's a lot of great potential for racewide lore and relationships, so we made that. From humans and elves to vampires and mushroom people, there's a good chunk of stuff to choose from.
