𝗶 : 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱-𝘂𝗽. set in a dystopian future, the wealthy were heavily reliant on technology. due to overpopulation and a growing divide between the rich and poor, the rich decided to forcibly relocate the poor underground, in what was meant to be a 15 year project, before nuking them all.
𝗶𝗶 : 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁. the poor, now known as 'hole dwellers', built elaborate shelters which the rich planned to reclaim after the nuclear strike. the hole dwellers endured harsh conditions, resource shortages, and resorted to human experimentation to combat the anticipated radiation.
𝗶𝗶𝗶 : 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗸𝗲. the nuclear strike by the wealthy, intended to solve overpopulation after forcing the poor underground, had severely backfired. the bunkers meant to protect the elite had failed, killing many. the blast spared the upper layers of eden, allowing some of the hole dwellers to survive. they emerged only to find the surface transformed into a radiated wasteland, forcing them to adapt to harsher conditions than ever before.
𝗶𝘃 : 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁. it's been two years since the blast, and the hole dwellers have adapted to life with the radiated surface. money is worthless, and bartering has taken over the economy. factions have been formed, with some presumably controlling certain areas, and some others scouting the radiated wasteland. survival relies on scavenging, crafting, and avoiding radiation, leading to people only leaving at night.
