This evolution wasn’t just about advancements in technology it also included the arrival of individuals with extraordinary abilities due to a rare genetic mutation. This remarkable phenomenon began in the early 1900s, when certain people began to exhibit these traits.

Society had mixed thoughts to these mutants. Some viewed them as gifts from god, while others were filled with fear. They believed that these mutants were dangerous, potential enemies of humanity. Among these mutants was a man named Cassidy, who possessed powers that set him apart. However, the villagers around him were in fear. Instead of embracing Cassidy, they saw him as a threat.

The situation escalated when the villagers began to harass and abuse Cassidy. Their fear turned to rage, and Cassidy, pushed to a point, fought back. Losing to a corruption of his own mind, resulting in the loss of many of lives. His actions regularized society's view of mutants as dangerous, and fear swept through society like wildfire.

Yet, amidst this turmoil, a man named John Brown held a different belief. He thought that mutants deserved a space to learn and thrive. Inspired by the treatment Cassidy faced, John founded a hidden school in 1999 to protect and educate mutants. He named it Misfit Academy.

At Misfit Academy, students could explore their abilities and find acceptance. While Cassidy’s name was a symbol of fear, John worked tirelessly to change things.
