The year is 1982 on Earth-616, the X-Men have been through perils and troubling times in the years following the events of the Phoenix. However a new darkness looms over the horizon, weighing on the mind of Professor Charles Xavier which lies in wait to threaten all of mutant-kind. The political plots of Senator Kelly in the wake of the Falklands War and the all new Sentinel Mk.III model has put a renewed pressure on mutants. Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters does whatever it can to help out those in need, but it seems that the time to fight may be upon them yet again.
