Over time, their unique abilities were suppressed out of shame, but as human fear waned, monster children began attending public school alongside other species, rediscovering their powers and histories. Vampires transformed into bats, werewolves resumed shifting with the moon, changelings mastered shapeshifting, and cupids honed their archery skills. This resurgence of monster abilities prompted humans to flee South Park, and the school where it all began became Monster High, marking a new era in monster-human relations.
