The turn of a century has occurred, and the world enters the year of our lord 1900 with a sense of optimism and excitement. However, there are storms brewing upon the horizon- major powers are increasingly stepping upon one another toes, tensions continue to brew as weapons of war and mass destruction are quickly developed and expanded beyond man's wildest dream. World leaders see what is coming and know that soon millions will die, the ashes of the world scattered across battlefields that shall claim the lives of millions of young men for years to come. War and violence is in our DNA, after all.
