"Passing the aux" is an opportunity to share songs you love with people around you, to connect with others, to have fun. We want to do the same with Auxcord, a community based upon our shared love of music.
Our community lies at the intersection of sincerity and irony, acting as a chill and inclusive place for people who prefer something a little less stifling than what's on offer from other communities, but nevertheless serious enough to avoid the pitfalls often found in edginess or heavy irony. LGBTQ+ individuals and allies welcome!
We regularly run polls and discussion topics, and events such as album listening sessions, guess the song, and Music League to keep our users engaged. Have an idea for an event, or want to run one yourself? We as staff will help that idea become a reality.
Overwhelmed by the number of channels or pings when you join a server? We get that, and our onboarding is tailored so you can make your channel list as expansive or as compact as you want it to be, with server pings kept strictly to your onboarding choices. No need to mute 20+ channels as soon as you accept the rules.
We take a heavy amount of pride in our responsive moderation and strive to improve the server over time. New types of events, such as "Guess the Song", have come to be through that ambition, and we will continue to listen to our community to become something better than we once were. Music doesn't remain the same, so why should we?
